Itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca to Rabat

At 08:00, we’ll pick you up to begin our journey. Our route starts with a drive to Midelt, passing through the picturesque mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Along the way, we’ll make stops at Ifrane, a charming ski resort, and Azrou, known for its cedar wood crafts. After crossing the Zad Pass (2178m/7146ft), we’ll arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll pass through Errachidia and the lush Ziz Valley with its expansive palm groves, eventually reaching Erfoud, renowned for its fossil quarries. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the quarries and witness the fossil extraction process. Our next stop is Rissani, where we’ll explore its vibrant African market, offering a glimpse into local life. If you’re feeling adventurous, don’t miss the chance to try the delicious Berber pizza, a specialty of the region. We’ll then continue our journey towards the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Upon arrival in Merzouga, we’ll store any unnecessary luggage at the hotel before embarking on a camel excursion into the heart of the dunes. After approximately one and a half hours, we’ll reach the haima camp where we’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night under the stars.

Day 2: Erg Chebbi Desert, Khamlia, Todra Gorge and Dades Valley

If you’re an early riser, you have the option to climb a high dune and witness the mesmerizing sunrise between the dunes. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel by camel for breakfast and some rest. Our next destination is the town of Khamlia, also known as “the town of the blacks,” named after its inhabitants who are descendants of former slaves from Sudan. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a small Gnawa music concert while sipping tea. Additionally, we’ll visit a children’s school supported by a Spanish Cooperation Association. Following our visit, we’ll embark on a short 4×4 tour of the Erg Chebbi to bid farewell to the desert, making a panoramic stop to take in its vast expanse. Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive in Tinerhir, home to the lush oasis of Todra Gorges. You’ll have free time to explore part of the Gorges, marveling at the impressive mountain walls. Finally, we’ll head to the Dades Valley and its stunning gorges, where we’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a hotel overlooking the river.

Day 3: Dades Valley, Valley of the Roses, Skoura, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech

Continuing our journey along the Kasbah route, we’ll pass through the enchanting valley of roses, renowned for its cultivation of these flowers used in various beauty products. Along the way, we’ll encounter some of the most picturesque kasbahs in Skoura. Leaving Ouarzazate behind, our next stop is Aït Benhaddou, a sprawling kasbah that has earned UNESCO World Heritage status and served as a backdrop for numerous films. You’ll have free time to wander its streets and climb to the summit for breathtaking views of the valley. Our final stretch takes us to Marrakech, a 200 km drive through the High Atlas Mountains. This scenic route, crossing the Atlas at nearly 2,300m, demands a leisurely pace to fully appreciate its beauty. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we’ll transfer you to the Riad or hotel of your choice, marking the end of our services.
